I recently took on a DIY project and I'm so happy with the result that I had to share it with you.
I call this DIY: canvas wrapping.
I had a couple of old canvases from Ikea that I was tired of seeing on the wall and I wanted to give the apartment a little upgrade. Well it did the trick. Wait til you see the final result.
Two old canvases and metallic brocade fabric to start.
Make sure to steam the fabric so there are no wrinkles.
Cut the fabric to the size of each canvas, leaving a 2 inch border.
Get your trusty staple gun. Start with the center of one side and staple towards the edge, leaving the corners to be done at the very end.
Viola! The final product.
Quick, easy, cheap and CHIC!
