My absolute favorite thing about fall is layering. Sometimes it seems the more I layer the happier I feel - might be a little bit of an obsession. Unfortunately it's always that these perfect 'layering temperatures' only last about 1-2 weeks before the heavy peacoat and other down-filled days begin. Let's not think about that yet though, I need at least 2 more weeks of leather layering days.

I've been loving my denim and chambray shirts lately. I have about 4 or 5 of them, all different shades and fits. I pretty much pair these with just about anything and everything. From a sparkly sequins skirt to high waisted pants, down to the denim on denim (I've been a huge fan of the classic look since Gap's denim campaign in 2009).

I should do a full week of looks with these shirts styled in a different way each day.
Yes. I'll do that next week. Stay tuned!

Rain, wind, clouds... never fun, but didn't stop me from braving the outdoors. I threw on my comfy stretch pants, the brightest shirt and cardi I could find (anything to brighten the day) and was on a mission to complete all my weekend errands. The storm is going to be worse tomorrow, so I'm saving that for movies and reading.

I hope you're enjoying your weekend.

The sun came out today. I swear I'm a totally different person when the sun is shining bright. :)  With that said, I'm wearing all black today (hmmm). Maybe I feel like I can get away with it given all the sunshine.

This Karen Millen jacket that I picked up recently fits me perfectly. It's very versatile, I can dress it up or down and wear it day or night. I love the matte and shine black tailored detail along the sides and across the back, which accentuates my waist and gives me a little more hips.

It's Friday. Happy weekend!

It's dark, rainy and windy today in Boston, so I thought to post a look I wore earlier this week on a much brighter, warmer day.

I bought these boots in a vintage shop in NYC several years ago. You can tell from the toe that they've had plenty of wear and tear - just adds character! The dress is a light wool so it kept me warm just enough to go bare legs and even no jacket.

Fingers crossed for the sun to be back out tomorrow.

I've been having some technical difficulties with the blog in last few days. But happy to say that I am back up and running again!

Wanted to share my outfit from the weekend with you. Since the weather was still fantastic and warm, I thought to brave shorts one last time. I paired this subtle sparkle sweater with bf shorts and boots love the juxtaposition of rugged and glam.

I've had these jeans forever. Yes, they are Stella McCartney for H&M from years ago, but I can honestly say they have consistently been my favorite denim choice since I got them. I especially love the navy piping detail around the front pockets and bum, which really compliments the curves.
Hope you are having a good week!

I've been long overdue for a haircut and was definitely getting bored with my long straight hair. I decided to get bangs and just a good healthy trim for the coming season. I usually prefer bangs in the fall/winter over spring/summer because they frame my face nicely when I'm wearing hats - I do have quite the collection. :)

The weather has been so great lately, I'm trying to take every advantage to go bare legs. Today I paired this neutral print dress (I adore the bow detail down the back!) with sandals, but added charcoal trouser socks to keep my toes warm. I topped the look with a classic taupe trench - you never know when the weather will turn this time of year.

I'm so excited to wear these boots this fall/winter, they are going to keep my feet toasty warm. They go up to the knees (even over the knee) but I'll save that for the colder days, I know there will be plenty.
The scarf is one of my favorite accessories. It's silk vintage, I stole it from a gf back home and refuse to give it back :) . It goes with absolutely everything and I love how it brings a little pop of brightness to any outfit.
