Had some fun playing in the sun with my new frames this morning. 

I love my updated Raybans and the Prada's are a totally new shape for me. I feel like I came out of the 60's, they are so chic!

My friend Jorge, from Sun Optics in Texas, was sweet to send me a selection before I make a final decision on which to permanently add to my collection.

Since purchasing my leather pair of shorts, I've been kind of obsessed. The only thing on my mind is getting my hands on more shorts that I can wear this winter. They are the perfect substitute to a skirt and a lot easier to move around in. 

I especially like the knit pair below (and they are on sale!), and the cuff can be rolled down for more coverage.

Never thought that I would own a pair of leather shorts, but this pair spoke to me so I thought to give them a try. I sure am glad that I did! I love them. They are from H&M, therefore affordable and will do just the trick for the season. 

I'm able to dress them up with heels for an evening out or weekend casual with cable knit tights and flat knee length boots. 

The weather is still fantastic so lots of layers are still keeping me warm.

I really wanted to show you the beauty of the NYC holiday windows, especially the incredible detail seen in those at Bergdorf Goodman. The fantasy theme takes months to create but as you can see all the hard work is worth it! Definitely a must see if you are in the area over the holidays. 

I'm still wearing leather, and it's November :). I decided to pair it with a chunky knit scarf and gloves - gusts of wind come out  of nowhere  around here.

Back from New York City, but wishing I was still roaming those streets. There is just so much life and excitement in the city - the morning air, the bustling crowds - that it makes me never want to leave. 

Over the weekend we walked NYC many times so I had to be extra comfortable. Meaning, flats by day and heels by night. Cross body bag is essential, as hands need to be free - there are so many things to browse and touch in the shops. 

I also had a chance to see some of the Holiday windows. Bergdorf Goodman's "Carnival of the Animals" was breathtaking! I'm amazed each year at the astonishing details displayed. I'll share some of those highlights with you tomorrow.

The weekend has been fabulous and today especially the weather was phenomenal!

Spent the weekend brunching, shopping and visiting all my favorite spots in NYC. Will share more photos of my favorite spots next week.

Off to NYC today for an extra long weekend! So excited to be back in the city again visiting with family and friends. 

Here's what I'm wearing today. We are driving by car so I wanted to be as comfortable as possible. Leggings, cozy sweater, blanket scarf, the only thing I'm missing is my pillow. :) 

This Mulberry bag is one of my favorites. It's the perfect weekend bag - fits so much - and the fabulous color and embossed croc print is so chic!

I'm on a serious hunt for a new pair of black, closed toed pumps or booties. Haven't made a final decision on exact style, but a pair of black heels is definitely on the horizon for purchase in the near (near!) future.

The Gucci Mary Jane pump is timeless and I can finally cross 'classic mary janes' off my list , but then the DKNY bootie is super funky and I know I can get really creative with them.  I also really love the Alexander Wang style, but might have to wait until sale breaks to consider those.

I didn't wear this dress enough over the summer, so I wanted to transition it into my fall wardrobe. Best and easiest way with a summer-like dress, throw a sweater over top and you've got a perfect skirt combo. I chose a simple cashmere turtleneck today, but am already thinking that next time I'll choose a chunky sweater. I paired it with opaque tights, this way I'm not showing too much skin, since it is quite the mini. :) 

I love this Rachel Roy jacket, its has the most colorful and cheerful lining!
