lemonade

Another gorgeous day with beautiful weather here in Boston. It's amazing how the weather can alter the mood; I find myself springing out of bed lately in anticipation to get the day started! The sun definitely makes me happy.

I really like this skirt because I have the flexibility of dressing it up or down, wearing it for any occasion, and I never feel limited to a particular season - I never follow 'do not wear white after labor day'. It's pleated all the way around and the fabric hangs straight, giving a slim silhouette without the restrictions of a pencil skirt.
I paired it with touches of neon, this lightweight chambray blazer and my new DIY necklace. I've been working on several other DIY jewelry projects, which I will share with you later this week. In this case, I bought a plain necklace (from Forever 21 so it was inexpensive) and painted it the colors I wanted. I'm thinking of putting a few more coats of paint on it, even though I do like the fact that the silver peaks out in some spots. So simple and fun. :)

Hope your week is fantastic and you have a chance to enjoy the sun.
thank you for visiting.
xx

  10. Ola!
As always you look great. I don't follow the "white after labor day rule" (I don't know why but I was making air quotes) either. And after a look at you and how you rocked this white skirt..Girl that rule needs to be demolished. LOL I love this pairing. Great job on your D.I.Y.
    Always,
