Free People is taking things to the next level and introducing a line of cocktail-wear, including sparkling dresses and sequins embellished pieces. The collection titled Occasion, stays true to the brand's free-spirit aesthetic, while offering new silhouettes like A-line and figure hugging dresses - there's even a sparkle jumpsuit in the mix.
I got these crochet shorts over the weekend. I especially love the soft scalloped details and subtle ivory color. I paired them with my geometric color block sweater. I love the contrast of delicate grace with a retro twist.
Busy busy week this week. Taking it one day at a time. :)
Couldn't have asked for better weather on this Memorial Day weekend. The sun's been beaming and this two-piece look is perfect for 80 degree weather. The top is from my two piece polka dot dress (I've worn the skirt here), which I've paired with my favorite neon item... this skirt. Since it's high-waisted, I wasn't exposing too much with the cropped knotted top. Flats finished off the outfit and I'm ready for a full day of exploring.
Chanel's "Versailles in a Socialist France" themed Cruise 2013 Collection recently deputed something new in the beauty department - Chanel logo beauty spot stickers. The black velvet interlocking C's were placed delicately just under the eye, right at the top of the cheekbone. They were a nice contrast to the soft make-up and pastel hair pieces.
Would you add this velvety highlight to your cheekbone?
We took these photos over the weekend when it was lovely outside. Glad we did as it's been muggy and rainy since. Hopefully all this guck will clear up shortly and the sun will make it's permanent appearance for the rest of the summer.
My look is quite classic; bright pants, sleeveless denim and bauble jewels for some excitement.
As it was my birthday weekend, we got a little silly with some of the shots. Hope you enjoy!
I wanted to say thank you to everyone for all the lovely birthday wishes. I had a beautiful weekend with family and friends. thank you, thank you, thank you. kisses.
I love this sparkle sequins vest because it not only adds glimmer to a weekend casual look, but it can also add spice to office wear. I often wear it under a blazer so just a touch of sparkle peeks out.
Here I paired it with a simple tank, a pair of boyfriend distressed denim and wedges.
On my special day I'm craving a pair of truly special heels and these Stella McCartney sandals are spot on! The delicate satin ankle strap, the two-tone girly colors, the lucite heel - they've got all the essential qualities of a must-have shoe for the season and are perfect to complete any summer look.
For now, I'll continue dreaming....
I recently wrote a trend piece on clear shoes for Style Nugget. You can check it out here.
I love the vintage print silk pieces from All Saints and when I spotted this dress, I knew I had to have it in my closet immediately. The silhouette is loose and voluminous making it versatile when it comes to length; add a belt and you can go as short as you want. I added a blazer for the work day, but removed it once cocktail hour approached. :)
