a little frosting

I've been battling a pretty bad case of the stomach flu for a week now, so I'm looking a little thinner than usual.  (Don't worry mom) Planning on packing those LBS back on this weekend. :) We're taking a trip to Manchester by the Sea (just north of Boston) this weekend, and plenty of buttery lobster rolls are on the horizon - my all time favorite New England treat!

Today's is simple. Denim cutoffs with a sheer navy blouse. I added pearls and a little 'frosting' for some more glam.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Thanks for visiting.

floor grazing

I haven't worn this dress in forever because it's a little big on me at the top and I haven't had a chance to alter it yet. Simple solution for today; I'm wearing it as a maxi skirt with a knotted shirt.
I'm absolutely obsessed with the length, it's so long that even with four inch wedges it grazes the floor - so glam! :)

Happy Tuesday!

flowers and a cap

I'm having so much fun with this look. I love the floral on floral prints, and since the pants and top are a similar color palette, it's not too overwhelming.
To this super feminine silhouette, I added a touch of menswear with a sports cap and sneakers.

Hope you have an amazing weekend!

garden delights

I thought to post these sunny photos given the rainy day today; lift up the spirits a little. :)
We snapped these in the courtyard of our new building complex. There's a really pretty fountain, but unfortunately no water.
The weather has been very hot lately so I'm trying to keep my looks as light as possible. I have a few of these cotton tops in white that I've had on rotation - they are absolutely perfect in this heat.

Hope your week has been great.
thanks for the visit.

draped

I've had this dress forever and had completely forgotten about it until I was unpacking from the move. It's super lightweight and I adore the way the fabric drapes the body. The color is a soft silver metallic.  I styled it with a simple skinny belt, color block sandals, and kept the jewels to a minimum.

Here's to a great start to the week!

play ball

Finally picked up an official Red Sox cap this weekend. I'm loving the sport cap trend this summer, especially the versatility of it. Day, weekend, even evening looks can be paired with the sporty topper.
I'm especially excited to juxtapose it with a flirty feminine dress, but for now I'm wearing it with a casual weekend look. Tie dye and denim with nude wedges. :)

Hope your weekend is wonderful.
