I've recently had several conversations with friends, clients and fellow image consultants about scarves and how to use this accessory to the best of your advantage.
In my opinion, the scarf is a fantastic accessory and by far the most versatile of all accessories. Not only is it worn to add fabulous detail, but it can also be the main focus of your look, for example, as a sexy triangle top (tied at the back) or a sarong skirt for the beach.
But as I discussed this topic in more detail, I sensed there was a hesitation from others.
"Isn't it an old style accessory that's no longer on trend?"
"I like scarves, but I only see my grandmother wearing them."
" I just don't know how to style a scarf in the summer."
I've made it my mission to take these concerns and prove to you just how fun, flirty and trendy a scarf can really be.
The timing is perfect since Fall is just around the corner - I'll also show you how to best transition accessorizing with scarves during the Summer, right into the Fall.
In the next coming weeks, you'll be seeing a lot more on scarves!
Today, given my simple dress, instead of adding jewelry I decided to add a scarf. A small square scarf, folded into a triangle, rolled and tied at my neck. It's clean and elegant, and the perfect substitute to a short necklace - don't you think?
I kept my other accessories modern and added the bright pumps for some pop.
Now be honest, do you think the scarf is old or unfashionable?
Do you think my look is outdated because I added the scarf?
I'd love your honest opinion.
And feel free to ask me any questions you may have.
thanks for visiting.
